Conclusion
In conclusion, the definition and practice of Religion have evolved over time. The original story of a God has broadened through cultures and society. There is no longer just one idea of religion now; it can be what individuals choose for themselves, the strength of their beliefs and emotions towards something that provides them hope. The thought that Celebrities could be a Religion seemed far-fetched, but who are we to say it is impossible? Is there a set way that individuals must think or a specific individual they must worship? Throughout this research, the idea of celebrities being a religion has been made clear by comparing Princess Diana to a Goddess or a saint, which signifies a god-like figure to followers. The media has critiqued the information they present of her life, which could perfect her image or create a connection of closeness for her followers, myth-making her life that of a "fairy tale" (Tite, 1998). Worship, devotion and unity were essential to proving how individuals followed, adored, and strived to resemble themselves to Princess Diana, much like individuals do with God and the Bible. It seems that validation plays a role in Religion, and it is where an individual feels validated that express their beliefs.
